I have tried several different types of eyeliner and it seems as the night goes on it starts to smudge in the corners and underneath my eye.What is the best brand of eyeliner to use that won't smudge under my eye?

There really isn't ANY eyeliner that will never smudge under your eyes.. Believe me I've tried them all. However I've learned a few tricks to make really any eyeliner less likely to smudge..


-I use MaryKay eyeliner, but that's besides the point.. you can do this with any eyeliner..





-- Put your eyeliner, (pencil or twisty pencil thingy: it doesn't matter), in the freezer and keep it in there when you're not using it or when you don't have it with you. It really does help a lot with the smudging and mine, personally, doesn't smudge when I do this.

Ok well i had this problem, I use to use Pencil eyeliner. But i had that problem. I went throw everything except like the $20 eyeliner. But i find that you dont need eyeliner that expencive and still does the same problem. Get the plastic crank ones. where all you do is twist and turn. Also look for waterproof on it. I use the Maybelline New York Unstoppable, or Rimmel London Exaggerate, or Loreal Paris. But see this what i do. I switch off. Cause i dont just use black. These are really good. but if you are really good at putting on eyeliner Liquid is bomb proof. Liquid problem is if you get it in you eye is burns for a bit.


You may also want to try HIP. i abs. love it. its where you have a brush to put it on. But they arent like normal colors. But i use it for my top lids. I hope you find some good eyeliner :] or what you can do with the old stuff is keep applying and fixing but i know it is a pain.
I've had better results with MAC Blacktrack ';gel'; eyeliner than with anything else I've ever tried. It goes on wet enough that you can smudge it and work with it a bit, but once it dries, it's there for the entire night (or day).
i tried a bunch of different eyeliners and they all smudge... what i do now, is that i use an eyebrow pencil that isn't too rough as an eyeliner... it works pretty well and i don't have to worry about it smudging anymore
i use a pencil eyeliner that's called wet n wild. its waterproof and its really good and it never smudges :]

loreal bare naturale eye liner powder, it comes with a thin liner brush to apply it with. I lovvvve this product. It don't smear, or smudge, and last all day. and is verrry black.
Use Maybelline line stylist. It's like those long roller crayons that crayola makes, only skinnier. Buy at: Publix, Wal-Mart, or CVS. Every other kind of eyeliner I've tried:: pencil or liquid does just that. I know what you mean!!

i almost always go with Mary Kay, it looks fabulous as long as u dont rub your eyes
The liquid. Almay I believe makes one with a shaped tip to make it easier to apply. I prefer pencil myself, mostly because my hands shake all the time. But the liquid stays the longest, doesn't really smudge once its dry, and you can get waterproof to help prevent running. Good luck!

My favorite, which I've been using for about a year, has to be the sephora store brand pencil. I have three colors (black, navy, and brown) which all apply great color, are soft enough to sharpen and draw well without breaking, and don't smudge a bit throughout the day. Although I normally stay away from the more ';generic'; brands, this one was originally a gift and I have never gone back. Plus, they only cost about $4-5 bucks!

i wouldnt doubt that putting it on ur water line would make your eye lashes fall out (if anyone would no its me!) i started putting it on my waterline and when your eyelashes fall out its VERY likely for you to get an eye infection which can be like a huge zit on ur eyelid and in ur case and mine it would be on the bottom. when i started putting it on my waterline it got infected and i havent been able to wear makeup in a month and they wont go away so i have to get surgery. so i REALLY recommend NOT putting it on the waterline.
well i use white liner on my waterline. it's a creamy texture and it tends to rup off though. i've actually noticed nothing really. i use revlon matte something. may be you should try something with a nice smooth texture, something that doesn't make your lashes so brittle which makes them fall off.
i sometimes use wet n wild and i never have any problems.


You might find though you are allergic to it and you might want to stop using it for about a 3 days then if you lashes continue to fall out you might have to see the doctor and explain it to him/her

no it shouldnt because eventhough i use only pencil eyeliner i know many ppl that use liquid eyeliner on their waterline but their eyelashes dont fall off


maybe you need to change the brand (though i have never heard of the ones you use)
don't think that eye-liner would make your eye lashes fall off they haven't got anything toxic in them or anything like that
some makeup can cause you to break out.


and also, ou have to be careful with putting eyeliner on

First if you have oily skin, use an oil free cleanser such as Neutrogena oil free cleanser, it's great..I use it. Follow w/an oil free moisturizer.. After apply your foundation if you us it, dust powder all over skin..especially the skin around your eyes which will absorb oil..then apply eyeliner.. im not an expert either seeing as how i just got liquid eyeliner, but i like to pull my eyelid at the sides and then push down hard w/ the side of the brush (so it becomes thicker) and then pull it across, and then i keep going past the connecting corner of my top and bottom lid (go straight) so that when i open my eyes, i get the winged look. i too wanted to get a gothic look and i posted a question on how to line the inner rims but it still hasn't worked for me. almay has pretty good eyeliner thati've found sticks more than any other that i tried. and someone else brought up a good point about how it's hard for eyeliner to stay in the inner rims b/c it's too moist but it does stay on the outer lashes pretty well. i guess, w/ the liquid i'm just not holding it to dry long enough until i let go of my lid?





anyway, i have super oily skin too. i always put some powder on my eyelids before i put any kind of eyeliner on so that it'll stick a littlle better. still, i absorb the powder kind b/c im so ioly. and os, by the end of the schoolday, the eyeliner that had been rubproof in the morhing would come off. just try not to touch your eyes so much. unfortunately, i don't think that there's much that oily ppl can do except touch up. you could always search yahoo answers for oily skin and makeup :0 and if you don't get any more hits for this question, answer search liquid eyleliner b/ci found tutoorial for the wing look under someoen else's question (i can't find it anymore but im pretty sure it was at seventeen.com)

Try rimming your eyes with a black, kohl liner that is smudged out slightly on the top and bottom.





Or use a pale pink and a soft beige color.





Purple is also a good color for brown eyes. You could buy a bright purple liquid liner and just line the top of your eyelid.

make up for ever in their purple-ish color. or sephora brand, ulta brand, or any other brand that has purple because purple makes brown eyes stand out. i use it for my brown eyes and it really makes a difference. hope this helps =]

They are the same. You can use it as an eyeliner or you can use it inside your lower eyelid. My favorite is Lancome's Le Crayon Kh么l Kajal Smoky Eyeliner.It really makes sexy smoky eyes.

I'd stick to the stick eyeliner for day time, but for night-time events you can experiment with liquid liner. You have to find which kind works best for you and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. if you put stick eyeliner on first then use liquid over it, the liquid will dry fast and look really good (without getting in your eyes)
This is not great for preventing wrinkles, but I close my eye and pull at the outer corner with one hand and draw the line with the other, going right along the lash. I use a wet q-tip (pinch off the excess water) to make corrections, like an eraser. I like Almay's liquid eyeliner, if they still make it... it comes in a small bottle with a quill/brush lid.
I've never tried liquid eyeliner, but it looks hard to apply. It probably also makes a more dramatic effect. I have a stick eyeliner from Avon, and its broken so many times that its reduced to about half an inch. I don't really wear much makeup, so I'm not sure which kind is better, but the stick kind always breaks.
