I wear natural looking makeup but never actually wore eyeliner and I was wondering what appropriate age should a girl wear eyeliner?What age should you start wearing eyeliner?

just make sure u look natural in the face, it is NOT hot to look like a slut. personally i started when i was 15, but i always wore too much. i still wear it now, but now i opt for the pencil liner and smudge it, so it looks natural. before it was a fat black line with the liquid eyeliner.

I think it's more of how you wear it. I am now wearing it (I'm 13) its a shimmery brown and I just make it look natural. Just some in the outer corners of my eyes then I blend it towards the center so it ends up fading about halfway along my eye. I think it looks good. I am now also trying to find Lash Blast mascara in brown to wear with it. Doesn't that sound pretty?
If you put it on black and thick it shows you are immature and a prostitute. Obviously not ready for makeup.
i started at 12, but people need to remeber eyeliner doesn't flatter everyone but it can work wonders for most. Also at a young age applying really dark eyeliner that doesn't work with you eyes is not a good thing at all.!

I think that really depends on the person, the face, and the parents(lolz). I personally am nearly 14,and I have been wearing eyeliner for about a year. It really enhances my eyes and I like wearing it.
I think that if anyone tried to set an ';Appropriate age'; for wearing eyeliner, It would be a little chaotic among all the girls.
I say whenever your ready and want to try i, do.

I was 13. If you want, start out with a lighter colored eye liner like brown.
im 19 and i still don't wear eyeliner. becuase i don't like it. i don't think it makes me look better. i don't think everyone needs it. suttle is better

when i was about 14 i use to wear natural looking eyeshadow with light brown eyeliner, and then suddenly around 15 or 16 i got a little more dramactic and went head over heels for black eyeliner...so really i'd say around the high school age is what seems more appropriate to start using liner :-)

Eyeliner is not a ritual that all females have to follow. many prefer to stay with more natural looks, or even using shadow and mascara for a dramatic eye effect.
as for an appropriate age if you WANT to wear eyeliner?
once your into your teens anything is fair game....just make sure you don't wear it to fit in or feel grown up. because you'll just look like you're trying too hard

Just because you wear/use a certain makeup product doesn't mean you have multiple sex partners, and it also doesn't mean you're trying to grow up faster. I would say a small wing of liquid/gel/pencil eyeliner should be fine for 12-13, but that's my opinion, and everyone has their own.

ReplyDeleteI don't wear eyeliner and I'm in 8th grade. But I do wear other makeup (concealer, bronzer, blush, highlighter, eyeshadow, mascarra, etc). I will probably wear it sometime in high school, but my friend is very popular and she has a boyfriend and people notice that she dosent wear makeup (in a good way) and they like and respect her for that. So I guess what I'm trying to say is less is more and more is less.

ReplyDeleteI would say a black liner is good for 13. I would do a thin line and wing it out a little bit. Don't be too bold and go for a thick wing. Seriously, no one, not even guys will find it attractive. Hope this helps!
